"Making prog cool again, again, and then slightly more complicatedly, again"

Joel Robinow - Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals
Raj Ojha - Drums, Percussion, Recording Engineer
Eli Eckert - Bass, Guitar, Vocals
Raze Regal - Guitar

:stupid:

А не Noel V. Harmonson из Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound , а ныне Heron Oblivion ?

A nostalgic 80's nod, the video for "Rolando," directed by visual artist Andy Puls, was created using '80s standard definition video hardware and no computers. Material for the video, according tothe band, was generated using video feedback and footage of Joel Robinow singing along. The result? A psychedelic blast of visuals accompanied by the melodic trip that is Once & Future Band. It's fun, dancey, and the kind of stuff that Once & Future Band has made a name for themselves for creating — a slight mix of decades of musical genres and textures from the '70s and '80s combined with the modern-day stylings of bands like Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

"We are very proud to announce a new full length LP from Oakland’s Once & Future Band—Deleted Scenes. The space-age songsmiths of Once & Future Band have been ting-tinging away on the truly heavy anvil of hominid perspective and emotion again to bring you this singing scape of songs. Annealing for over a year now, until it was cool enough to hold in your ears, nested in the pinnae, the time has finally come. Dew drops pop and hiss as they settle on the gliding guitarmonies.

Once & Future Band have outdone themselves this time around, in my opinion. If songs could stop heated exchanges by mere presence, these are the ones, and more needed than ever. As I tuned in to each new transmission, each step closer to this perfect platter, I had to stop and do nothing else, and merely absorb how wonderful this album is. Each tune exists in the company it was born to live with. There are haunting chorale escorts here... long trains of room warmth... the belting of the machine heart... lofty guitar and bass melange... and just beautifully laid to magnetic tape with a sure hand by the throbbing brains that are Once & Future Band.

For fans of Roy Wood, Idle Race, ELO, Roxy Music, Head Hunters, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, The Lord Bowie, The Band, and the soundtrack from every movie that ever pierced your cold, cold heart” —John Dwyer

Oakland orch-rock trio Once And Future Band will release new album Deleted Scenes on April 10 via Castle Face. The first single is “Andromeda” which should appeal to both fans of ELO, Alan Parsons Project and more modern groups influenced by that kind of pop. “Andromeda is kind of a time traveling song, I first started writing it in 2004 when the band initially got together, struck by the line ‘will I wait this lonely lifetime’ from ‘I will’ by the Beatles,” says the band’s Joel Robinow. “It felt like that seemed tragic, so I thought of a character who was willing but a little more begrudging, like ok I’ll wait if I have to…we actually recorded the basics back during the last record at Phil Manley’s studio, I never liked the bridge so we just moved on, and when we went to record it for the new one In our practice space we just started replacing everything and we just kept the bass and drum tracks, from there I just constructed a new bridge from the old bass line and the song reached an angle of repose and just kind of fell together. Also if you listen closely to the quiet part you can hear me swatting a spider on my face, I missed.”

Особенно выделю шикарную концовку "в лице" песни "Airplane" :in_love: и инструментальной 9тиминутной закрывашки "The End and the Beginning".
